Protect your speaker and your hearing
Turning the volume up too high can strain your hardware and damage your hearing. For responsible use:
- Do not exceed 80 % of the maximum gain at the beginning.
- Alternates between boost and native volume every 20 min.
- If you hear crackling or sibilance, reduce the level to a clean sound.
- With headphones, don't exceed 85 dB; use apps that measure decibels in real time.
This routine extends the life of your speaker and keeps your hearing safe.
Save battery and performance
Audio processing consumes CPU power. To extend battery life:
- Close background apps before using the boost.
- Turn off the screen or use “pocket mode” if you only listen to audio.
- Enable “Power Saving” in the app or reduce the gain refresh rate.
- Connect a charger or power bank for long sessions.
These practices balance sound power and battery life.
