- Materials
- 50 × 50 cm cotton fabric
- Matching thread
- Needle or sewing machine

- Measure and cut
- Mark two 45 × 45 cm squares on the fabric (leave 2.5 cm seam allowance per side).
- Cut with fabric scissors along the lines.
- Edge hem
- Fold 1 cm to the wrong side and iron; then fold another 1.5 cm and iron again.
- Pin around the entire perimeter.
- Main seam
- Using a straight stitch (by hand) or a normal stitch (on a machine), sew the four sides, leaving one side open to insert the cushion.
- Reinforce with a backstitch at the beginning and end.
- Finish and flip
- Cut the corners diagonally (without damaging the seam) to reduce bulges.
- Carefully turn the cover right side out.

- Insert the pad; if desired, add a button, Velcro, or simple bow closure.
